Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces roseoverticillatus was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Witt and Stackebrandt formed this name in 1990 by placing the species (Shinobu 1956) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017. Labeda established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of corrig. (Farina and Locci 1966) Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 1996. Labeda established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium biverticillatum (Preobrazhenskaya 1957) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1996. Labeda established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium fervens (de Boer et al. 1960) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1996. Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium hiroshimense (Shinobu 1955) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2003.
