Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces sclerotialus was originally described by Pridham 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Goodfellow et al. published an emended description of this species in 1986. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018. Skerman et al. established as a later homotypic synonym of Thirumalachar 1955 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1980.
