Nomenclatural History
The species Kitasatospora phosalacinea was originally described by Takahashi et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 19 in 1985. Zhang et al. corrected this name from (sic) to . Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. In 1992, Wellington et al. established as the basonym of (Takahashi et al. 1985) Wellington et al. 1992 .
