The species Microbispora karnatakensis was originally described and validly published by Rao et al. 1987. Miyadoh et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Microbispora rosea rosea (Nonomura and Ohara 1957) Miyadoh et al. 1991
in 1990.
