The species Microbispora parva was originally described by Nonomura and Ohara 1960. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Miyadoh et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Microbispora rosea rosea (Nonomura and Ohara 1957) Miyadoh et al. 1991
in 1990.
