The species Microbispora thermorosea was originally described by Nonomura and Ohara 1969. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Miyadoh et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Microbispora rosea aerata (Gerber and Lechevalier 1964) Miyadoh et al. 1991
in 1990.
