Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardiopsis antarctica was originally described by Abyzov et al. 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 13 in 1984. Yassin et al. corrected this name from (sic) to . Yassin et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Brocq-Rousseau 1904) Meyer 1976 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 1997.
