Nomenclatural History
The species Pirellula staleyi was originally described and validly published by Schlesner and Hirsch 1987. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 61 in 1986. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. This name replaces the name Schlesner and Hirsch 1984 .
