Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Borrelia was originally proposed by Swellengrebel 1907. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Felsenfeld published an emended description of this genus in 1974. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Adeolu and Gupta in 2014 and Margos et al. in 2018.
