Nomenclatural History
The species Bacteroides asaccharolyticus was originally described by Finegold and Barnes 1977. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1988, Shah and Collins established as the basonym of (Holdeman and Moore 1970) Shah and Collins 1988 emend. Hahnke et al. 2016 .
