Nomenclatural History
The species Porphyromonas cansulci was originally described and validly published by Collins et al. 1994. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Sakamoto and Ohkuma established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Hirasawa and Takada 1994 emend. García-López et al. 2019 in 2013.
