Nomenclatural History
The species Porphyromonas crevioricanis was originally described and validly published by Hirasawa and Takada 1994. Sakamoto and Ohkuma published an emended description of this species in 2013. A subsequent emendation was proposed by García-López et al. in 2019. Sakamoto and Ohkuma established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Collins et al. 1994 emend. García-López et al. 2019 in 2013.
