Nomenclatural History
The species Prevotella loescheii was originally described and validly published by Shah and Collins 1990. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Wu et al. in 1992. Shah and Collins formed this name in 1990 by placing the species Holdeman and Johnson 1982 into the genus Shah and Collins 1990 emend. Sakamoto and Ohkuma 2012.
