Nomenclatural History
The species Flavobacterium flevense was originally described and validly published by Bernardet et al. 1996. Chen et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. Bernardet et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species van der Meulen et al. 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Dong et al. 2013.
