Nomenclatural History	The species Flavobacterium psychrophilum was originally described and validly published by Bernardet et al. 1996. Bernardet et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Flexibacter psychrophilus (ex Borg 1960) Bernardet and Grimont 1989 into the genus Flavobacterium Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Dong et al. 2013.
