Nomenclatural History
The species Psychroflexus gondwanensis was originally described by Bowman et al. 1998. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 68 in 1999. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Bowman et al. formed this name in 1998 by placing the species Dobson et al. 1993 into the genus Bowman et al. 1999.
