Nomenclatural History
The species Salegentibacter salegens was originally described and validly published by McCammon and Bowman 2000. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. McCammon and Bowman formed this name in 2000 by placing the species Dobson et al. 1993 into the genus McCammon and Bowman 2000 emend. Lu et al. 2022.
