Nomenclatural History	The species Cytophaga salmonicolor was originally described by Veldkamp 1961. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1996, Nakagawa and Yamasato established Cytophaga salmonicolor as the basonym of Marinilabilia salmonicolor (Veldkamp 1961) Nakagawa and Yamasato 1996 emend. Suzuki et al. 1999 .
