Nomenclatural History
The species Reichenbachia agariperforans was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2003. Nedashkovskaya et al. replaced this illegitimate name with (Nedashkovskaya et al. 2003) Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005 emend. García-López et al. 2019 in 2003.

This name is illegitimate because the generic epithet is a later homonym of the insect genus name Reichenbachia.
