Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Flexithrix was originally proposed by Lewin 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lewin and Leadbetter published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hosoya and Yokota in 2007.
