Nomenclatural History
|
The species Rhodothermus marinus was originally described by Alfredsson et al. 1988. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 53 in 1995. Park et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Silva et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Rhodothermus obamensis Sako et al. 1996
in 2000.
