Nomenclatural History
The species Algoriphagus halophilus was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2004. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Nedashkovskaya et al. formed this name in 2004 by placing the species Yi and Chun 2004 into the genus Bowman et al. 2003 emend. Han et al. 2017.
