Nomenclatural History
The species Geobacillus pallidus was originally described and validly published by Banat et al. 2004. Banat et al. formed this name in 2004 by placing the species Scholz et al. 1988 non Bacillus pallidus Zhou et al. 2008 into the genus Nazina et al. 2001 emend. Aliyu et al. 2018. In 2010, Miñana-Galbis et al. established as the basonym of (Scholz et al. 1988) Miñana-Galbis et al. 2010 .
