Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Angiococcus was originally proposed by Jahn 1924. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1980 the name was revived and validly published by Hook et al.. Awal et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2017.
