Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Thiosphaera was originally proposed by Robertson and Kuenen 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 13 in 1984. Ludwig et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Paracoccus Davis et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Liu et al. 2008
in 1993.
