Nomenclatural History
This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 15 in 1984. The species Grahamella talpae was originally described by Brumpt 1911. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1984 the name was revived by Ristic and Kreier. In 1995, Birtles et al. established as the basonym of (Ristic and Kreier 1984) Birtles et al. 1995 .
