Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodococcus corynebacterioides was originally described and validly published by Yassin and Schaal 2005. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Yassin and Schaal formed this name in 2005 by placing the species Serrano et al. 1972 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Zopf 1891 (Approved Lists 1980).
