Nomenclatural History	The species Aerococcus urinaeequi was originally described and validly published by Felis et al. 2005. Tohno et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. Felis et al. formed this name in 2005 by placing the species Pediococcus urinaeequi (ex Mees 1934) Garvie 1988 into the genus Aerococcus Williams et al. 1953 emend. Evans 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
