Nomenclatural History	The species Alysiella crassa was originally described by Xie and Yokota 2005. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 104 in 2005. Xie and Yokota formed this name in 2005 by placing the species Simonsiella crassa Schmid 1922 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Alysiella Langeron 1923 emend. Steed-Glaister 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
