The species Arthrobacter scleromae was originally described by Huang et al. 2005. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 105 in 2005. In 2016, Busse established as the basonym of (Huang et al. 2005) Busse 2016 emend. Busse and Schumann 2019 .
