Nomenclatural History
The species Parabacteroides distasonis was originally described and validly published by Sakamoto and Benno 2006. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Sakamoto and Benno formed this name in 2006 by placing the species Eggerth and Gagnon 1933 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Sakamoto and Benno 2006.
