Nomenclatural History
The genus Persicivirga was originally proposed and validly published by O'Sullivan et al. 2006. Nedashkovskaya et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2009. Nedashkovskaya et al. transferred the members of Yoon et al. 2006 into this genus in 2009. Yi and Chun transferred the members of this genus into Lau et al. 2005 emend. Yi and Chun 2012 in 2012.
