Nomenclatural History
The species Rickettsia heilongjiangensis was originally described by Fournier et al. 2003. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 108 in 2006. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. In 2020, Hördt et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Fournier et al. 2006) Hördt et al. 2020 .
