Nomenclatural History
The species Methylobacterium rhodinum was originally described and validly published by Green and Bousfield 1983. Green and Bousfield formed this name in 1983 by placing the species corrig. Heumann 1962 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Patt et al. 1976 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Alessa et al. 2021. In 2018, Green and Ardley established as the basonym of (Heumann 1962) Green and Ardley 2018 .
