Nomenclatural History	The species Actinoplanes ianthinogenes was originally described by Coronelli et al. 1974. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 2011 the name was revived and validly published by Tamura et al.. In 2011, Tamura et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Actinoplanes ianthinogenes ianthinogenes Tamura et al. 2011 .
