Nomenclatural History
The species Halomonas marina was originally described and validly published by Dobson and Franzmann 1996. Dobson and Franzmann formed this name in 1996 by placing the species (Cobet et al. 1970) Baumann et al. 1983 into the genus Vreeland et al. 1980 emend. Dobson and Franzmann 1996. In 2002, Arahal et al. established as the basonym of (Cobet et al. 1970) Arahal et al. 2002 emend. Romanenko et al. 2013 .
