The family Anaeromyxobacteraceae was originally proposed and validly published by Yamamoto et al. 2014. Lang et al. transferred the members of this family into
Archangiaceae Jahn 1924 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lang et al. 2015
in 2015.
