Nomenclatural History
|
The species Pseudomonas fuscovaginae was originally described by Tanii et al. 1976. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1983 the name was revived and validly published by Miyajima et al.. Tohya et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Pseudomonas asplenii (Ark and Tompkins 1946) Savulescu 1947 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Tohya et al. 2020
in 2020.
