Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas oleovorans was originally described by Lee and Chandler 1941. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Saha et al. published an emended description of this species in 2010. In 2010, Saha et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Lee and Chandler 1941) Saha et al. 2010 . Lalucat et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Manickam et al. 2008 in 2020.
