Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Pseudoalteromonas haloplanktis tetraodonis was originally described and validly published by Gauthier et al. 1995. In 1995, Gauthier et al. reduced Simidu et al. 1990 to the rank of subspecies. Ivanova et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Simidu et al. 1990) Ivanova et al. 2001 in 2001.
