Nomenclatural History	The species Afipia carboxidovorans was originally described by Hördt et al. 2020. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Hördt et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Oligotropha carboxidovorans (ex Meyer and Schlegel 1978) Meyer et al. 1994 into the genus Afipia Brenner et al. 1992 emend. La Scola et al. 2002.
