Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces xanthochromogenes was originally described by Arishima et al. 1956. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Hu et al. published an emended description of this species in 2021. Hu et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Corbaz et al. 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2021.
