Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Bifidobacterium pseudolongum globosum was originally described by Yaeshima et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 43 in 1992. Nouioui et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (ex Scardovi and Trovatelli 1969) Biavati et al. 1982 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
