Nomenclatural History
The genus Mesonia was originally proposed and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2003. Nedashkovskaya et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2006. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Kang and Lee in 2010, Lee et al. in 2012 and Kolberg et al. in 2015.
