The species Chryseobacterium yonginense was originally described and validly published by Joung and Joh 2011. In 2020, Nicholson et al. established Chryseobacterium yonginense as the basonym of
Kaistella yonginensis (Joung and Joh 2011) Nicholson et al. 2020 emend. Peng et al. 2021
.
