Nomenclatural History
The species Bifidobacterium crudilactis was originally described by Delcenserie et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 153 in 2013. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018.

Tindall 2019 asserts that one of the two nomenclatural type deposits is a patent strain.
