Nomenclatural History
The species Bifidobacterium pullorum was originally described by Trovatelli et al. 1974. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. In 2018, Nouioui et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Trovatelli et al. 1974) Nouioui et al. 2018 .
