Nomenclatural History
The species Thermomonospora alba was originally described by Cross and Goodfellow 1973. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Zhang et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Nonomura and Ohara 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1998. In 1998, Zhang et al. established as the basonym of (Locci et al. 1967) Zhang et al. 1998 .
