The subspecies Actinomadura cremea cremea was originally described by Preobrazhenskaya et al. 1975. This name was validly published by Howey et al. 1990. In 1990, Howey et al. reduced Preobrazhenskaya et al. 1975 (Approved Lists 1980) to the rank of subspecies.
