Nomenclatural History	The subspecies Bifidobacterium pseudolongum pseudolongum was originally described by Yaeshima et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 43 in 1992. Nouioui et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name Bifidobacterium pseudolongum (Yaeshima et al. 1992) Mitsuoka 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
